Does anyone else feel that their lives are “groundhog-day” in seasons?  For me,  fall season’s daily activities include school, homework, various sports, coupled with the various daily chores of laundry, cleaning, and cooking meals. Each season brings about a different set of activities, but alas, they remain the same scheduled chaos within the week.

It’s been a crazy few weeks for me trying to figure out where I have to be and what homework needs to be done. My husband has been traveling so much to Quantico that he’s been away more than he’s been present.  Yes, it’s not as bad as workups or a deployment, but sometimes it is frustrating when they are “here, but not here”.  I can’t count on him to help out with baths, story stelling or putting my little girl back into bed when she gets up for the fifth or sixth time.

On the upside of things, I really miss my husband and when he returns I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for all of the little things. We are lucky that we’ve been together for almost 16 years and still have that spark.  I still crack up when I watch this SNL video of how the spark is gone. Maybe distance really does make the heart grow fonder.
