Like many of you, we took a road trip on our long holiday weekend to have some quality time with the family. We loaded up the kids in our trusty SUV and headed a location filled with sun and sand.

Sounds exotic, right? It wasn’t, we went to Yuma, Arizona so my husband could go hunting with the family.

I had in my mind that I would be spending time at the pool with my kids and husband, relaxing while reading my book. Well, not so much. More time was spent quelling disputes and doling out time outs. I’ve gotten to a point with my kids where I don’t know where to go with discipline. 

I don’t want to spank and time outs seem to be a moot point. I loved this you tube video where Tom Hanks portrays himself in the “Toddler’s and Tiara’s” show.
